1. Who We Are
Decarog Inc. ("Decarog", "we", "us") is a Delaware corporation operating the Decarog products and services available at decarog.com and app.decarog.com (the "Services"). Decarog is the data controller for personal information processed in connection with the Services. Decarog currently offers the Services to residents of the United States.
2. Information We Collect
From you directly:
- Email address (for account, login links, and product communication).
- Quiz responses (your situation, goals, preferences) used to personalize your plan.
- Optional profile information you add inside the app: your first name, your child's first name, your child's date of birth, parenting check-in answers, milestone notes, reflections, and progress on lessons.
- Messages you send to the in-app AI coach.
- Payment information is provided by you to Stripe, our payment processor. Decarog never sees or stores your full card details, we only receive a reference identifier and metadata such as the last 4 digits of your card and the billing country.
Collected automatically:
- Device and browser information (user-agent, screen size, language).
- IP address (used for security, fraud prevention, and approximate geolocation).
- Usage analytics (pages visited, time on page, button clicks, lesson completion events).
- Cookies and similar technologies, see Section 6.
3. Information About Your Child
The Services are intended for parents, caregivers, and legal guardians of children, not for use by children themselves. Any information you provide about your child (such as first name, date of birth, milestones) is provided by you, in your capacity as the child's parent or guardian, to help us personalize the educational content you receive.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. We do not use information about your child for advertising, profiling, or sale. We do not share information about your child with third-party advertisers. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information directly from a child under 13, please email privacy@decarog.com and we will delete it promptly.
You may delete your child's information at any time from inside the app or by emailing us.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide, personalize, and improve the Services and your daily plan.
- Authenticate you (one-tap email login links).
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Send transactional emails (login link, receipts, important changes).
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Measure marketing performance and optimize advertising (see Cookies / Meta Pixel below).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. Sub-Processors & Third Parties
We share limited personal information with carefully selected third-party processors who help us run the Services. Each is bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

We may add or change sub-processors as our service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here.
6. Cookies & Tracking
We use:
- Essential cookies, required for login, security, and core functionality (cannot be disabled without breaking the Services).
- Analytics & advertising cookies, Meta Pixel (
fbq) records your visits, quiz progress, and purchases so we can measure and optimize advertising. Meta also receives our server- side Conversions API events for the same purpose.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use browser-level tracker blocking. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect access to paid content.
7. Data Retention
- Account, profile, and progress data: retained while your account is active.
- After account deletion: most data is deleted within 30 days. We may retain a minimal record (email, billing history) for up to 7 years where required by tax, accounting, or legal obligations.
- Server logs: retained up to 90 days, then deleted or anonymized.
- Marketing pixel data: retained per Meta's standard retention.
8. Your Rights (CCPA / U.S. Residents)
You have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have about you and how we use it.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal-retention exceptions).
- Opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email).
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights, we will not change pricing or service quality because you exercised a privacy right.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@decarog.com from the email on your account. We respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, other than as described in Section 6.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest with our cloud providers, hashed authentication tokens, and access controls based on least-privilege. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique email password and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
